As Jordan prepares to mark its 80th Independence Day, the country’s Minister of Government Communication, Mohammad Momani, underscored the robust and enduring relationship with Qatar. Both nations are actively committed to enhancing collaboration across numerous sectors, aiming to foster mutual benefits. Momani emphasized the significance of these ties and the shared ambition to deepen bilateral relations further.

Momani expressed Jordan’s appreciation for its partnership with Qatar, highlighting the kingdom’s focus on bolstering cooperation in political, economic, and developmental areas. He noted that such partnerships are vital for advancing the interests of both countries and enhancing the well-being of their citizens.

Reflecting on the historical context of Jordan’s independence, Momani reiterated the kingdom’s dedication to supporting pivotal Arab causes, with a particular emphasis on the Palestinian issue. He also emphasized Jordan’s ongoing role in preserving the sanctity of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, a commitment that remains a cornerstone of its foreign policy.

Independence Day, according to Momani, symbolizes Jordan’s resilience and stability amidst regional challenges. Despite the complexities of its surroundings, Jordan has continually worked to strengthen its constitutional and democratic institutions, ensuring that it remains a stable and progressive nation.

Furthermore, Momani highlighted the kingdom’s ongoing efforts towards reform and modernization. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing public services, promoting national development, and improving the quality of life for Jordanian citizens, reflecting a broader vision of progress and adaptation to contemporary needs.
